Let us introduce ourselves
Our family started Anderson’s Seafood in the Charlottesville area and it has been a family-run, community-oriented operation ever since. Now serving the Charlottesville area as Anderson’s Seafood & Catering, we are proud to continue our family’s tradition of Southern hospitality and great food.
On any given day you can expect to encounter three generations of family working together to continue the dream we were founded upon: to bring Charlottesville not only the freshest, most premium-quality seafood, but also locally produced meats, produce, and a wide variety artisan products.
After serving the Charlottesville community for a half century, we find ourselves in the unique, rewarding, and humbling position of creating and maintaining a deeply satisfying relationship with both our customers and community at large. Which is to say: we take our work very seriously

At the core of our mission is the following age-old maxim: “you are what you eat.” And we believe there’s a reason such sayings hang around, because they’re true.
In an era where corporate industrial food conglomerates— with their environmentally rapacious, overseas fish-farms, harvesting practices, unsustainable, cruel, and ultimately irresponsible farming practices— have become the rule, we feel it an almost religious duty to make real, sustainable, and locally produced foods available.
